A large proportion of my time was spent looking through our client's school and medical records to formulate a detailed case for an intellectual disability. In order to do this, I had to be up to date with the latest psychiatric research and very specific professional guidelines such as DSMIV.I aided trial attorneys in drafting briefs and memos. I made specific amendments to documents appearing before the Supreme Court. This required meticulous attention to detail and a good working knowledge of Texan Constitutional Law. I drafted official documents on behalf of the policy department on the state of Texan Law with a view to reform.
