Responsible for regional operational excellence and expanding our footprint in new markets and verticals. Ensured best practices between our local online marketplaces in Malaysia, Vietnam and Thailand were leveraged and took the lead on two M&A projects, both of which led to successful acquisitions.

Responsible for scaling up the business and organization to make us the #1 C2C marketplace in the Philippines by increasing our traffic to the site, growing our user base and multiplying the # of transactions made every day, while building out monetization.As a consequence of the global deal between global marketplace leaders Naspers and Schibsted/Telenor/ SPH, AyosDito merged with its biggest competitor Sulit in January of 2015.Led the merger between the two companies and successfully handed over on time as well as closed down the operations in March 2015.

Trained and coached 60 Senior Project Managers and several of their C-level managers to run more effective large-scale projects. Planned and executed a 6-month program that included workshops and retreats as well as ongoing coaching. Achieved to develop and roll out Project Management best practices to the most impactful and influential projects in the whole media group, saving us time and money and avoiding loss of talent.

Managed merger between Norwegian news agency NTB and photo agency Scanpix and led team of 31 over 5 departments (sales, marketing, customer service, product, and business development) with P&L responsibility for a budget of $22M. Designed and implemented new product portfolio and sales organization targeting new customer segments and led rebranding project as well as investigated new revenue streams. Increased revenue in new markets and achieved to close big contracts despite a market in free fall as well as launch a new major initiative that has since grown to become a significant source of revenue.

Led a team of two. Responsible for financial management, reporting and forecasting as well cross-organizational work of process improvements and operational excellence. Implemented KANBAN agile development methodology to improve customer experience and satisfaction, ensuring future revenue growth.After just a few months in this role, it was announced that we were being acquired by the Norwegian New Agency NTB and I was immediately asked to take the lead on the merger and joint strategy.

Say no to my dream employer in order to complete it in the conventional way or say yes and promise myself I would find the time to do so over the next few years? I said yes! During my two years as a Management Trainee, I completed four work placements in Schibsted’s subsidiaries: Schibsted HQ, Schibsted Growth Sweden, Blocket.se and Scanpix Norway.

Among hundreds of applicants, I landed the most attractive internship at any Swedish embassy around the world.My role was to cover everything related to trade relations between Sweden and the US.I spent my days attending hearings in the Senate and House of Representatives (including a very memorable one where Al Gore was questioned by Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton), round tables at think tanks and keeping an eye on news and reports.I kept the diplomatic corps up to date on the developments I took part of and wrote several reports on trade that were sent back to the Foreign Ministry.I was also involved in planning and arranging all events at the House of Sweden promoting Scandinavian culture, including an interview with Astronaut Christer Fuglesang and concert with Singer/Songwriter Ane Brun. In addition, I single-handedly organized a networking event for all Scandinavian interns at the embassies and UN delegation that included an exclusive tour of Capitol Hill.
