I looked after the content and structure of IET's public facing websites, wrote news stories and looked after IET's twitter feed. I wrote IET's Communications Strategy for 2014-2018.My recent Learning & Teaching Development Officer jobs included the management of the OLDS MOOC project in 2012/13, questionnaire design and data analysis for the Open Media Unit social media project (iTunes U, YouTube and OpenLearn), developmental testing of T219 Environmental Management, some usability testing observation in the Jennie Lee Research Labs and compiled guidance for module teams regarding accessibility long descriptions of modules.I was Journal Manager of JIME, the Journal of Interactive Media in Education, from December 2010 until April 2014, implementing, delivering and supporting a regular publication schedule during that period.

I'm also closely involved in developing and updating the content of IET's websites (iet.open.ac.uk and Jennie Lee Research Labs) and writing IET news stories.In addition I had Learning and Teaching Development officer duties. My LTD officer role involved assisting with or leading various projects that the Learning and Teaching Development Team undertook for the University. My expertise included creating/editing content for IET's web pages, usability testing, developmental testing of course materials, telephone interview research work, Learning and Teaching event co-ordination and project management. I was a member of the Teaching Award winning 'Learn About' team that delivered the 'Learn About' Guides and the 2008 and 2009 'Learn About' Fairs for OU staff. I project managed the production of five Learning and Teaching Guides for the OU in 2008 and 2009, researcher and project manager for the Science level 1 Early Student Experience Project 2009.

I assisted the late Professor Peter Knight with the Assessment of 'Wicked' Competences project as research assistant (using qualitative data analysis to help identify the competences for further study in each subject area, searching for information and feeding back results of searches, and co-ordinating all contact with informants to the project). I assisted with church organ tunings as 'tuner's boy' and some church organ restoration work. I specialized in setting up 'key frames' on keyed fairground and street organs and marking out and drilling action blocks. I restored inlay work on a trumpet barrel organ, painted bandmasters and designed and decorated organ facades. I also cut cardboard book music for the mechanical organs.
