Anna Crabtree is a senior at Ohio University where she is double majoring in environmental studies and mechanical engineering. As a Russ Legacy Cutler Scholar and member of the Honors Tutorial College, she has received support to engage in transdisciplinary experiences pursuing trail-building in Northeastern Vermont, philosophy, writing, and art creation in Italy, woodworking at an artist’s residency in Portugal, and backcountry living in the highlands of Scotland. On her own, she accepted positions as a lifeguard, environmental researcher, videographer, climbing wall lead, live figure model, and museum intern allowing her passion and desire to understand connections in the world to guide her exploration.As a philosopher, writer, and aspiring educator, she is passionate about weaving her interdisciplinary education and experiences together to explore the relationship between art, nature, creation, and awe. She is seeking connections that unite art & science, feeling & reason, and the real & ideal in hopes of fostering a sense of wonder in herself and others.
