I am a curious researcher and invested educator.ORCID: https://orcid.org/0000-0003-0964-0744The primary focus of my research is combinatorics as it applies to (hyper)-graph theory and design theory. I have completed multiple projects generalizing previous theorems concerning factorizations of hypergraphs and completion of Latin squares with varied parameters. My academic project work also includes mini-studies of a variety of problems in (multi)-graph edge coloring and structural graph theory.As an undergraduate course instructor, my goal is to bring students to a mastery of mathematical concepts in addition to methods for problem solving through interactive lectures and leading students through varied in-class example problems. I believe that understanding the "why" is a key to understanding and retaining the "how-to". Additionally, I work to provide educational customization when needed through office hours and by identifying and promoting available resources in the university community. As a private tutor, I look beyond superficial scores to identify the root of a students' mathematical struggle. When gaps in fundamental math skills emerge, I work to fill them in through review of basic concepts accompanied by practice exercises to support mathematical education and reduce student frustration.
