Freeze dried food manufacturing. I've handled everything from ice cream to Yellow Curry, snacks and entrees, cold-water hydrated products and brand-new packaging options. I work heavily on the innovation side of R&D, meaning I work on products that are new to the company & demand extra attention on the upfront work. I've hosted ideation sessions internally & externally, attended sales calls with prospective clients & won the business, presented new products to board members, and participated in research ethnographies with our customers.

Created the first-ever clean label sauce, trained by an expert in emulsion and sauce technology. I worked independently & created documents for plant trials, FG specifications, worked with packaging engineers & legal teams, presented new products to CEO staff, owned my plant trials, and ate so much cheese sauce. I had a fantastic experience getting to know manufacturing & the rapid pace of the food service world worked well for me. I also had an amazing sensory team to utilize, as well as learned from the CPG branded side of the business along the way. And our corporate chefs were the best teachers around!

I set up the entire lab, managed many different types of equipment, and worked independently to create training documentation & report results. I built it to the point where R&D Scientists came to me for help and I worked to get them useful data to save them time & help their projects.
