Knowing that I always wanted to be in healthcare I began my career as an EMT in Tallahassee, FL. I worked for Tallahassee Memorial Hospital and Capital Regional Medical Center in the ER alongside some amazing nurses and paramedics. I furthered my pre-hospital education by completing paramedic school. Additionally, during that time I had the pleasure of working at Tallahassee Community College in their Simulation Center as the Simulation Coordinator, this is where my love of simulation began. I continued my work in EMS in both rural counties and large cities, which has assisted in developing my skill sets. At Sunstar Paramedics I become and preceptor and Field Training Officer. Eventually, I was given the opportunity to work as the EMS Program Support Coordinator at St. Petersburg College, where I was able to take the lead in pre-hospital simulation and further my love of sims. I recently completed my Bachelor's in Health Service Administration and plan to continue my education path with a Masters to Doctorate in Healthcare Leadership and a graduate certificate in Healthcare Simulation.
