My role includes marketing, researching clients' and prospective clients' businesses, assisting in the design and delivery of workshops, business development for Make Happy, website management, content production, social media management and training/management of new interns. At Make Happy we facilitate creative problem-solving, team building and design thinking. We use workshops to help organisations innovate and grow.

Experience working in the management and organisational side of a consulting firm. Part of the client services team sourcing charities to partner with 180DC. The job role includes connecting with charities, writing briefs, interviewing potential student consultants, conducting consultant check-ins and creating society documentation.

Throughout this academic year myself, Jamie, Finn and Rachel co-founded the start-up Mansquared, a non-profit initiative with the mission of creating a world where men talk openly with each other before they reach a point of crisis through the use of our facilitation tools. Mansquared cups are mental fitness tools that facilitate open and vulnerable male-male discussions. We want to reduce the number of men waiting till crisis point to talk and help save lives. They are reusable plastic sports cups that are going to be sold at Bristol university sports bar in the coming term. The questions on the front prompt open conversations and the QR code will signpost local support available.

I completed a virtual work experience placement week with Teach First. This internship included prework, workshops, presentations and talks with Teach First founder. I finished with a great understanding of the three core gatekeeping skills of classroom management, planning and assessment.

The Social Innovation Program run by Bristol Hub, pairs teams of students with local social impact organisations, in order to increase student awareness, and establish creative and innovative recommendations. Our team worked with the National Food Service Bristol as consultants, researching and marketing Food Coops in Bristol. Excited to announce that our group was picked as the winning team for the program 2020. My role in the project included: running the focus group, completing the marketing evaluation, creating the survey, analysing the results, and designing the report. I have really valued the opportunity to work with NFS. It has been great to gain experience consulting for the non-profit sector, and aid NFS in achieving its mission.

As part of an interdisciplinary team, I ran a consulting project for Rising Arts Agency. We created a guerrilla marketing campaign, to overcome their issue of brand obscurity. I completed interviews with both the company and their artists in residence to gain insights about the issue of awareness, during this time I established a strong relationship with the client. The founder of the agency said that our team worked professionally, and our work would be of great use to them in the coming year.

I shadowed a team of correspondents and researchers. Through this, I was able to accompany the team filming around London. I was able to aid in interviews with new and upcoming businesses and view broadcasts taking place.
