As a freelance business analyst projects have included:Producing detailed requirements for online delivery of specialist text books including xml workflows and ecommerce.Observing and creating a suite of workflow diagrams for the finance function of a large media company.Creating test scripts and conducting cross-browser system testing for the first launch of Kudos (growkudos.com) a service to help researchers demonstrate and increase the influence of their work. During this time (2016/17) I have also been project managing the modernisation of a 1960s home.

As an adviser to colleagues in all departments regarding their business case for IT-enabled change, I supported them in crafting problem statements, requirements, and identifying how their proposal would meet strategic goals and ROI. Projects on which I was lead business analyst, data analyst and product knowledge expert included:- Research and recommendations on marketing systems across business three divisions and two continents. - A major project to rebuild the Group’s content delivery platform - Implementation of a tool for sales and usage analysis

Managing www.informaworld.com, the website for electronic resources for the academic division of Informa (Taylor and Francis, Routledge, Psychology Press, and Informa Healthcare). The platform delivered content from over 500 academic journals, thousands of eBooks and a range of specialist encyclopedia in all subject disciplines. During this period the Informa group's subscription revenue from higher education libraries, globally, became almost entirely dependant on online delivery to end users, and the pay-per-view income increased by 25%.I managed day-to-day performance and new releases in a challenging environment of multiple stakeholders, increasing customer expectations and traffic, and technology limitations. Our achievements were the result of an agile approach to releases and communication with stakeholders from customer service and sales to production and development teams.

As product manager for a technology provider to the publishing industry I was a member of a team specifying and testing new platform hosting content from in excess of 50 publishers. The agile approach ensured a smooth release and was one we continued with for incremental releases. The role also included development of promotional material, and business case development for new publisher solutions including branded portals and advanced access management options.
