Time is finite, the most precious resource. The last thing I want to spend time on is repetitive, menial, and exhausting tasks. This motivates me to constantly develop creative techniques to reduce fatiguing tasks and prioritize resource and energy on meaningful, intriguing aspects of work. I began my creative career in photography and retouching; capturing and editing massive amounts of images for many multinational corporations. Having a lifelong interest in animation and a constant craving to learn, I took a couple motion courses and began carrying out additional animation requests with some of the same accounts. From there, I combined knowledge learned from retouching and animation and supported a series of CGI campaigns composing motion for initial animatics and compositing animated 3D renders into 2D environments. The next year, I took on a number of adaptation and localization projects, collaborating with a global team of designers and transcreators. At this point, the amount of time to organize and manage the amount of content clients were requesting was becoming too taxing to handle manually for one person. Inspired by scripts used during my retouching days, I tested and implemented numerous tools and workflows that utilized automated solutions to produce motion deliverables more efficiently, accurately, and with little human interaction. When assigned a significantly high volume project, I designed a workflow to populate content in more than 50 languages, for 25 different animations, and batch exported approximately 1300 deliverables. The first language took about eight hours to output all animations. Each language following took less than an eighth of the amount of time. This taught me the value of working and thinking systematically and I have been an advocate of this way of working since.Having a thirst for knowledge, versatile background and unwavering dedication has led to many amazing opportunities. I have worked with teams and brands from across the world, trained and supported a consistently growing motion graphics team, and developed, compounded and documented a mass of processes over the years. I’m grateful for the time I have had with incredibly supportive mentors and teams along the way. I have worked hard to be in this position and will continue to evolve for future opportunities.
