• Designed and led patient-awareness initiative for more than 140 environmental services staff, supervisors, managers, and director that led to sustained, record-level increase in patient satisfaction with staff courtesy. Survey scores resulted in 23% increase in hospital’s ranking to 97th percentile for this area when compared to peer institutions. • Collaborated with Strategic Planning and Innovation department in design and facilitation of extended large-group engagement to transform complex and frustrating billing process into a seamless experience for patients. Employing cutting-edge methods used by IDEO, Doblin, and Institute of Design and bringing together stakeholders including patients and multiple functional areas, engagement ultimately led to merging of two departments and the creation of a single customer service line for patients.• Transformed program for new supervisors from elementary training course into rigorous and robust development program for emerging leaders. • Unified communications and government relations efforts and managed strategic planning and staff-management at $8 million, multi-site domestic violence service organization.• Initiated and organized lobbying campaign to secure $469,000 in first-time funding from New York City Council. Funding increased annually, resulting in six additional staff members and more clients served.• Successfully pitched and shaped full-page Washington Post feature. Article resulted in $5,000 in unsolicited contributions and, as centerpiece of mailings, several thousand dollars more in solicited contributions.
