Anna Gili is an Italian artist and designer, with a professional, academic and artistic approach, producing work for leading international furniture, products and home furnishing companies.Her reasoning behind the projects is holistic and she travels systemically in cross-cultural empathy through disciplines such as art, design, interior design and architecture.
The origins of Anna Gili’s path reflect the influence of those multiple creative worlds, which have led her to express herself through performances and avant-garde creations which later became the base for the first important pillars of her work for example: the “Tonda” armchair and the “Cro” vase.Her constant and intense research has led her to the genesis of her own zoosemiotic universe, and an engineering-like use of colour in decor & interior design.In 1989, she came up with the idea of putting 100 young designers with 100 leading Italian furniture, furnishing and accessories manufacturers. Nuovo Bel Design, 1992, 500 square meters situated in the prestigious international furniture fair ‘Salone del Mobile, Fiera’, Milan.
