Portland Parks & Recreation provides care to over 10,000 acres of parks and natural areas, and offers thousands of programs for all ages at its community centers, swim pool, and other recreation facilities. Organized and ran a lesson program that served over 20,000 students. Planned and executed a marketing strategy that increased swim lesson attendance at a struggling pool by 56%. Implemented a communication plan that included individual and group meetings and writing, designing and producing weekly newsletters. Improved instruction by training, evaluating, and supervising approximately 400 swim instructors and 26 lead instructors at all 13 Portland Parks pools.
