Working to accomplish the program's five competencies: talent, multicultural, multidisciplinary, entrepreneurship, and social consciousness through engagement in the university, research and volunteering.-Completed the multicultural competency through studying abroad in Lyon, France, where I was immersed in French culture while learning about polymer engineering and computer modeling.-Completed the talent competency through conducting research in NC State's nano mechanics lab for a summer duration.-Completed the multidisciplinary competency through my double major in textile engineering and mechanical engineering.-Completed the social consciousness competency through volunteering each semester in the Engineering Places K-12 outreach programs.

Representing the College of Engineering through organizing and hosting College of Engineering events to support prospective students and freshman, events include Open House and First Year Engineering Design Day (FEDD). I have lead the planning of Open House for the past two years in which approximately 3000+ prospective students visit centennial campus. In this position, I also act as a Teacher's Aid for freshman engineering courses E101 and E102, with upwards of 100 students in each section, where I grade their work and aid in lecture material. I organize the TA team which assigns TA's to each section and acts as a liaison between professors and TA's.

Working in Dr. Yong Zhu's nano materials lab on soft electronics that utilize silver nanowires (AgNW) to create fabric heaters. Developed a design that minimizes wire resistance while optimizing heat insulation and comfort of wear in order to create a fabric heater than can be sent to manufacturing.

-Working on project Deep Blue, an ABB initiative to standardize their switchgear products to reduce lead time, make for easier factory assembly and cut extra costs-Constructing a KEMA test cell model in Creo to visualize the lab and switchgear then designing a connection that will be used for each short circuit test here on out-Concept generation for Deep Blue wave 2, specifically the 15W stack (some of these concepts include redesigning run-back and run-in bars for easier assembly and developing a new riser)-Supporting developing testing, specifically thermal and short circuit testing, and learning about the UL certification process
