XPay is a product team in the newly-formed Microsoft AI division. Previously in the Windows and Web Experiences group, the team is responsible for the Payment layer used by Microsoft Advertising, Bing Shopping, Edge's Wallet, and Microsoft Password Manager. In Copilot, XPay participates as a payment layer, facilitating commerce transactions.

In this role, Anna leads geo-distributed client, web ux, and services teams, driving the development of account.microsoft.com, Microsoft Privacy Dashboard, Azure Notification Hub, Windows Notification Service, Windows Settings app, and more. These services and user experiences provide critical functionality to Microsoft products such as Windows, Xbox, and M365.

Leading a new organization focused on creating & accelerating new Microsoft consumer subscription offerings (E+D Division). In addition, the group is responsible for delivering marquee Windows Cloud Experiences.

Led the engineering arm of the NGP Common Infrastructure project, a Microsoft-wide project that established the internal systems required for GDPR compliance. Group Engineering Manager for the "Membership Experiences" (MEE) team in the Universal Store group, part of the Cloud and Artificial Intelligence (C+AI) group at Microsoft.Areas of responsibility leading the MEE group included running world-wide high scale services for Device Directory, Family Services, Privacy Services, Project Rome, and Account Experiences. These systems have close integration with Xbox, Identity systems, Licensing services, and major internal big data systems.

SERVICES. During the Windows Phone 8.1 release, led the Consumer Experiences team in the Windows Phone Services Organization, responsible for http://www.windowsphone.com and other consumer facing properties.After the Windows Phone 8 project, joined the Windows Phone Services Platform team as the Development lead for the Core Services team. Seven current and large scale services used by Windows Phone are owned by the team, in the áreas of blob storage, data ingestion and device activation.CLIENT. During the Windows Phone 8 release. led the development of the Search area in the client, in close colaboration with Bing, and integrating with Facebook and Microsoft account. This team pioneered the use of service-driven UX (HTML layout for Metro loon & feel) in the device.During the exploratory period between releases, prototyped Shopping and Commerce experiences in the Phone.During the Windows Phone 7 release, led the development team than owns core infrastructure pieces of the Windows Phone 7 product: marketplace engine, Zune, catalog browse, app/music/video downloads, MO billing.

Software Development Manager for Microsoft's Application Virtualization (previously known as SoftGrid) product unit. The group was located at a new Microsoft site in Cambridge, MA. Software Development manager for the Windows Manageability Protocols team, leading 3 different development teams -- 3 software development leads and 15 engineers. Responsible for shiping the BITS, WinRM, and WMI component areas in Windows (both client and server components).Responsabilities included:- Definition of strategy and overall product goals, in partnership with the other discipline organization leaders- Project plan and delivery schedule- Technical leadership & architecture oversight- Hiring/recruiting and feature team design- People manager and career development coach

Member of the team that designed and developed Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) 2.0, which is the backbone for Windows Update. Led the development team for BITS (Background Intelligent Transfer Service) in Windows. Released products: Windows XP SP2, BITS 2.0 and 2.5, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008.

Designed and implemented client & service components for software distribution and peer-to-peer caching solutions in BITS, Automatic Updates 2.2, and Windows Product Feedback. Released products: Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, SUS 1.0, WSUS 2.0, and BITS 1.5

Designed and implemented automation harness and auxiliary test tools during the ship cycle of Windows System Restore. Released products: Windows Me and Windows XP.

Participated of focus groups and training with senior women leaders across the tech industry.

• Member of the internal team for the development of WWW innovations (tools, frameworks, models).• Co-author of the tool CGILua, for the creation of Web pages. This product was used as the engine for all web portals/systems developed by Tecgraf's for external clients and was adopted in the development of the Homepage of the CS Department of the University PUC-Rio. • Developed several software components, as security filters for web servers, sendmail client, cryptography module, automatic HTML generators and others.• Developed complete WWW systems: on-line manuals, a “MS Project”-like system, a browser of employee data, automatic reports generator, among others.

Developed several C/C++ applications as a software engineer for the company. The major project, with 30000 lines of code, was the product "Anasete", a graphical editor of petrophysical analysis for CENPES/PETROBRAS (The state-owned Brazilian Oil Company). This product has reduced the time spent on a segment of the process of petrophysical analysis from 2 weeks to 4 hours, saving millions of dollars for the company.

• Cordinated the curriculum of intranet courses offered in the period, working with a team of nine professors. PETROBRAS is a state-owned oil company in Brazil. It is one of the biggest company in the country and has a large internal corporate network. • Lectured for two consecutive years the main modules of the course "Intranet Development", a 240-hour practical course that train developers on technologies such as Java, Server/Client-side scripting, ActiveX, Internet protocols, cryptography and the design of full-fledged WWW Systems.• Lectured for 3 years the regular 40-hour courses “Microsoft Internet Information Server 3.0” and “Advanced WWW Development”.
