RESULTS: My team was seeded 9th in the advanced rounds of 16, out of 43 international teams. We were the only North American team to qualify for advanced rounds. The Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court (FIAMC) is the oldest and most prestigious student competition in the area of investment protection law. Its focus is on the oral presentation of legal arguments before an arbitral tribunal composed of specialists in the field. FIAMC is unique in that it combines the law of investment protection, one of the most modern and fastest developing areas of international law, with the history of international law and of international trade. This year, the issue focuses on the 1800s common administration of the mining town of Moresnet. - Personal focus on territorial jurisdiction and joinder.
