I graduated from the University of Arizona with a double major in neuroscience and cognitive science (NSCS) and molecular and cellular biology (MCB). I also have minors in religious studies and biochemistry. My interest in the sciences arose at an early age and is interminably developing. My core objectives for the future encompass actively becoming involved in research, graduating from medical school, and becoming a licensed surgeon. I have research experience engaging in a medical entomology internship with the University of Arizona MAC Experiment Station, focusing on mosquito arbovirus vectors. My research panel developed a poster titled, “A Novel Immuno-Marking Method for Yellow Fever Mosquito -Aedes aegypti”, and an extension poster, “Arizona’s Biting, Stinging, and Infecting Arthropods.”My passion for neuroscience has led me to inquire about a research lab where I can refine and improve upon my technical skills. My NSCS emphasis is in neuroscience and my track to pursue is neurobiology. Thus, research in these particular disciplines is what I am ideally seeking, primarily if it ties into microbiological and cellular aspects. Although my search for a lab is not entirely specific, I am an inquisitive student and would love to partake in research in other areas as well. Additionally, I am pursuing a medical assistant role at a hospital or health clinic in Chandler Arizona.
