Anna Kan currently serves as the Independent Director of CVB Financial Corp, holding company for Citizens Business Bank (NASQ:CVBF), with $16 billion in assets under management and $3.2 billion market cap. It was named No. 1 best bank in American by Forbes magazine in 2023 and consistently ranked as top 5 Banks in U.S. by Bank Director. She is the chair of the Trust Services Committee and serves on the audit committee, risk management committee, nomination and governance committee, compensation committee as well as balance sheet committee.Previously, she served as Chairwoman of the Board of California Manufacturing Technology Consulting (CMTC) , the largest MEP (Manufacturing Extension Partnership) center in the U.S. focused on meeting the technical assistance needs of small and medium size manufacturers. CMTC provides consulting and technical assistance to thousands of manufactures in the state of California and plays a leading role in the MEP national network. She is the chair of the executive committee and serves on the strategic planning committee. Ms. Kan meets with legislatures at the local, state and national level regularly to discuss issues regarding manufacturing and to address government’s role in promoting small and medium-sized businesses in California and nationwide. In addition to her board and advisory work, she is the founder of Mustard Seed Enterprises, a company that invests in early stage companies and an incubator of several entrepreneurial ventures. Previously, Anna Kan served as the President and CEO of Golden Island Jerky Company from 1997-2014. In this role, she built this family business from a niche market manufacturer to become one of the largest branded jerky companies in the U.S. and pioneering the gourmet meat snacks market. The company sold the business to Hillshire Brands, (NYSE: HSH) in 2013. Ms. Kan received her MBA from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University and B.A. in Communication Studies from University of Iowa.
