About Anna Korsgren
Ever since I was a kid I’ve loved throwing parties. Big, intimate, themed, simple - you name it! Maybe it was a reaction to being an only child that spiked my passion for creating immersive experiences for others or just a very lively imagination finding an outlet for expression. I’ve always joked about collecting people, but there’s a lot of truth to it. I love meeting new people and I thrive when I get to connect friends with each other. Growing up I spent most of my time dancing in various dance studios across Stockholm. In hindsight it’s probably what lead me into the DJ-booth later on - which is where I mostly hung out during my 20’s. But after a while I felt that something was missing, I missed movement and a health aspect in nightlife. The boutique fitness trend was on the rise and I immediately felt an urge to not only be a part of it, but also to help evolve it. The wellness industry is a jungle, but one I was dedicated to explore... I gravitated towards gigs with sports brands like Nike, Adidas and Lululemon and before I knew it Barry’s Bootcamp headhunted me for their Stockholm launch. After a decade of freelance event production, DJ-ing, teaching fitness and traveling I decided to root myself. I embarked on an inner journey whilst trying to figure out what my metamorphosis would look like. Hyper Island had been on my mind for a while and Business Development felt like the right route for me, after doing a lot of ad hoc work within that field. What really stuck with me was branding, something I realized I’d been doing but at the end of a strategy.Which leads me to where I am now.
