Der von mir entwickelte Creating Futures Ansatz www.creating-futures.net der partizipativen Organisations- und Qualitätsentwicklung in Jugendheimen ist eine meiner Spezialitäten. Ich habe ihn gemeinsam mit einer Community of Practice von Leitungspersonen, Mitarbeitenden und mehr als 200 14- bis 24-jährigen Young Experts von Heimen in der Schweiz und Ungarn erprobt, ausgestaltet und in konkreten Innovationen und Entwicklungen umgesetzt. Dabei befassen sich die drei Akteursgruppen mit allen Aspekten der Organisation, denn schliesslich geht es hier nicht "nur" um gute Sozialpädagogik, sondern auch um Bedingungen im Heim und seinem Umfeld, welche diese ermöglichen. Creating Futures verbindet in innovativer Weise Partizipation und Befähigung mit Organisations- und Qualitätsentwicklung und eröffnet damit neue Perspektiven für Jugendheime in der Schweiz, Ungarn und international.

In the research and development project Creating Futures, youth, leaders and staff from youth homes in Switzerland and Hungary have formed a Community of Practice. Together, they develop organisational innovations which enable the youth homes to promote the self-empowerment of young people better: their ability to take charge of their own lives, create their own ideas of the future, and realize them sustainably.
