Lead annual giving and alumni engagement for the philanthropic arm of the oldest public university in the Chicagoland area and the only 4-year officially designated Predominantly Black Institution (PBI) in Illinois, as designated by the US Department of Education. Funds raised support academic programs and student scholarships bridging the gap in racial education inequity.• Led a complete reorganization and rebranding of the alumni association to better align with university priorities, building robust and measurable alumni programming for the first time in nearly a decade. The new Chicago State Alumni Association (CSAA) launched in July 2024 and includes a new CSAA Board structure and new processes for collecting and sharing alumni and donor stories more regularly and robustly.• Led the FY23 project for operational improvements in database policies and procedures. Launched a cross-departmental alumni and donor data-sharing collaboration, engaging key staff members across multiple University departments in the use of foundation constituent relationship management tools (CRMs) for mutual gain.• Revived the dormant individual giving program to exceed goals; FY24 finished a full 45% over goal, FY23 began a new donor campaign achieving 80% new individual donors, FY22 finished 30% over goal, and FY21 was a 136% increase over FY20.• Led the Champion Mentoring Program in FY21 and FY22, matching alumni and funders to current CSU students. Created a comprehensive nine-month curriculum tailored for CSU Rise Academy Scholars with collaborative input from the Rise Academy leadership and scholars, program funders, CSU alumni, and mentors.

Led a team operating three cross-functions of development; annual giving, donor relations, and advancement services; working together to raise support, steward donors and manage information.• In FY20, raised $1.1M for the Annual Fund exceeding the FY20 goal by 14% and the previous year's total by 26%, new donor acquisition rate of 16%, and increased the average gift per donor by 40%. This was the first time in a decade that the Annual Fund exceeded $1M, and is the highest new donor acquisition on record.• Spearheaded a sudden shift in the solicitation strategy in early 2020 as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and nationwide racial unrest by establishing 3 new annual funds to meet the needs of students; Student Emergency Assistance Fund, Black Student Equity Fund, and the Stronger Tuition Grant Fund; raising over $200,000 in five months.• Reorganized data management strategy to expand user interface by establishing a Raiser’s Edge Users Group connecting new users across the university together, streamline staffing workflows, establish new reporting metrics and act as business analyst for advancement technology needs and leadership of new technology implementation including LiveAlumni and NetCommunity.• Revised giving circles, implemented a new donor relations communication program, and managed the donor stewardship program of roughly 180 named scholarships donors.

Led two cross-functional teams working together to engage alumni and raise scholarship support for under resourced populations. Spearheaded new internal phonathon, implemented Roosevelt’s first GivingTuesday campaigns, established the spring Founder’s Day of Giving, and led new university-wide collaborations to exceed goals.• Lifted annual fund over the goal by 19% in FY19 and slowed donor attrition by 58% since beginning at Roosevelt in 2016.• Delivered in FY18 by increasing the total annual fund dollars by 4%, annual fund donors by 8%, and LYBUNT retention by 15% over the previous fiscal year. In FY17, boosted giving to an annual fund appeal series by 37% and built a new in-house phonathon with no technology in two weeks, saving Roosevelt $200,000 annually from a costly outsourced contract.

Selected to establish a strategy and exceed goals for the annual fund development program. Worked on strategic planning, stewardship, donor recruitment and retention, philanthropic trends, and annual campaigns.• Produced in FY15, the highest number of alumni donors since FY12 doubling the alumni participation rate over the previous fiscal year and captured the highest donor retention rate since FY11. • Maximized relationships with three campuses and five institutes, collaborating on donor engagement opportunities and communication messaging to exceed goals.

Pioneered strategy and execution of a new private giving program for the largest of Heartland’s subsidiary companies; Heartland Human Care Services. This included annual giving, major giving, and corporate giving development programs.• Generated new revenue using untapped corporate giving streams that led to a 58% increase in the number of donors and new major donor gala sponsors.• Instrumental in board relationship management that resulted in a new corporate partner for refugee and employment programs; a new fundraising event relationship as the charitable beneficiary of the Cider Summit, launching this event in Chicago for the first time in 2013; and managed the board peer-to-peer fundraising platform.

Led strategy and execution of the annual fund development program at a large research institution, managing a team of over 50 full and part time staff executing direct mail, email, and phonathon fundraising programs.• Raised nearly $1M in unrestricted funds in FY12, and gained a new donor acquisition rate of 14% (industry average is less than 5%).• Established and launched the new branding roll-out for The Northern Fund.

Led the annual giving program of a 4-year liberal arts college to exceed goals.• Spearheaded the re-engagement of George Williams College alumni with targeted GWC branding.• Brought the student phonathon in house.

• Pioneered the organization’s first donor and advancement services department; established all department policies and procedures, streamlined processes, and supervised 2-6 gift and data processors.• Database administrator and project manager, leading the implementation of new donation technology; Raiser’s Edge, BOA Direct Lockbox Imaging, and a data sync between Raiser's Edge and our online CMS platform (Convio's Constituent360).

• Managed over $13M in grants and capital projects including several six-figure grants and a $5 million dollar capital project building a new Oprah Winfrey Boys and Girls Club in Ms. Winfrey's home town, Kosciusco, MS, serving nearly 900 area youth.• Administrator of four department databases.• Performed all donor and advancement services, including donor inquiries, gift data entry and donor acknowledgements, corporate matching gift administration, reporting and analysis.

New business pharmaceutical sales and existing account management of prescription durable medical equipment (DME) to doctors and physical therapists. • Exceeded sales quota by 177% in my second month on the job, and by 219% by my fourth month.• Executed one-on-one patient education about the use of their new prescriptive device, and managed the health care insurance coverage relationship on their behalf.
