I am a future Nationally Registered Dental Assisting graduate of Ohio Valley College of Technology’s accredited Dental Assisting program. I strongly believe I would be a great asset to a local office as an efficient Dental Assistant. My professional experience extends to my intensive courses at Ohio Valley College where I obtained hands on experience on how to take & develop x-rays, provide significant patient care, take and pour dental impressions, make whiting trays, set up trays, disinfect treatment rooms as well as sterilize used instruments to ensure a healthy & clean office to prevent the spread of infection. My skills extended to my externship where I obtained and applied my skills across 135 hours of work in-office work. This great opportunity at Dr. Moore’s office benefited me in my ability to provide significant patient care. My goal is to further my education with hands on in a friendly efficient office where I can apply my skills to benefit the practice and its patients. The skills I have obtained include: 4 handed dentistry, infection control, providing excellent patient care, assisting the doctor, and setting up dental trays with the materials necessary for the procedure. In addition, I also have first-hand experience disinfecting treatment rooms and sterilizing instruments by placing them into the ultrasonic and autoclave. I have chosen the Dental Field as a profession because the health and oral hygiene of others is crucial to me. My desire to help people and to ensure they lead a healthy life style motivates me. I am a passionate person who truly cares about helping other achieve a healthier brighter smile. I play a crucial role in making one feel comfortable and ensure their well-being by proving a friendly smile, understanding, empathy and maintaining a positive attitude. However, I am also empathetic, outgoing, a team player, and dedicated to assisting in providing excellent oral healthcare.
