Design, plan, implement, and evaluate experiential learning experiences, workshops, and programs for visitors of all ages; Oversee planning and logistics for Museum seasonal programming and family days; manage relationships with community partners;Onboard, train and manage educational volunteer corps to facilitate all age drop-in programs.

Developed and facilitated outcome-based programming for school groups, summer camps and late night museum events using developmental and experiential learning theory.

Developed, evaluated and facilitated inquiry based, standard aligned, lessons. Differentiated lessons based on formative assessment, and tracked student data for all 680 students over the course of four years. Led students to an 87% pass rate on the state developed end of year assessment, and produced the highest average scores at the school site. Coordinated departmental professional development, and oversaw data entry and analysis for the Biology teaching team.

Worked in concert with District Leads to develop a district wide biology and anatomy curriculum guides, aligned to State and Common Core standards. Created original formal assessment questions to be implemented by all Duval County Biology teachers. Developed original diagrams for use on district assessment.

Selected for highly competitive national service corps, Teach For America, committed to teaching in high needs schools as dedicated advocates in the mission to close the achievement gap. Selected as one of 5,066 out of 47,911 applicants to the Teach for America 2011 Corps. Displayed multitasking skills by instructing 170 students in different subjects. Fostered a sense of culture and self-motivation in the classroom in order to consistently achieve ambitious educational goals.

Collaborated with the City of Jacksonville Mayors Office to allocate a $150,000 budget for Learn2Earn, a program dedicated to rising sophomores and juniors of Duval County Public Schools. Wrote a summer curriculum to provide a collegiate experience for 200 Duval County high school students. Course description included: Applying to Financial Aid, Honors Symposium, Educational History of Jacksonville Fl, Admissions Essay Workshop. Implemented lesson planning skills to provide a focused instruction aligned with the mission and goal of the program. Oversaw the professional development of instructional staff. Conceptualized the program’s mission, vision, and instructional locations.

Conducted Section 106 Compliance Fieldwork for the National Park properties in the Southeast United States. Worked with principal investigators to survey, map and recover archeological resources threatened by park construction and natural threats, such as faunal rooting and tropic storms. Field methods included: Shovel Testing, Excavation, Metal Detection, Magnetometry, GPR, Pedestrian Survey, and GPS. Cleaned, analyzed and catalogued recovered artifacts according to Park Service protocol. Created and edited maps for both ASMIS and publications using both ArcMap and Surfer programs. Co-wrote and edited reports for publication using Adobe InDesign (see Abraham Lincoln’s Boyhood Home and the Shiloh Mound Investigations).
