I compiled USPOULTRY's daily news bulletin Poultry Wire which reaches 4,600 inboxes daily. and International Production and Processing (IPPE) communication for exhibitors. In addition to newsletters I authored and distributed press releases for USPOULTRY, USPOULTRY Foundation and IPPE. Photographing organization events, creating presentation decks for our leadership team, writing scripts for videos and events and write copy for promotional materials and advertisements were also part of my duties.I created content for 14 different social media accounts for USPOULTRY, the USPOULTRY Harold E. Ford Foundation and IPPE. In my first year of employment the reach of USPOULTRY’s Facebook page increased by 32% and International Production and Processing Expo’s page (IPPE) by 244%, USPOULTRY’s Twitter impressions by 255% and IPPE’s impressions by 226%. Dring the last year I was able to developed a streamlined trade-out agreement process for agricultural publications wishing to exhibit at IPPE by creating online application process which reduced the number of emails and copies required for the contract process. Consumer outreach is a passion of mine and even though our main stakeholders are not necessarily consumers, I worked to find ways to connect consumers to the poultry on their plate. One example of this is creating content that our members think their friends and neighbors should know, fun facts about chickens, nutrition information, myth-busters etc.
