I started working as a community assistant (also known as a leasing agent) in October 2022. This position includes interacting with potential, future, and current residents at Evolve Tuscaloosa in order to both sell Evolve and maintain ongoing support with those who join our community.

During my summer position at Amazon, I worked as a Fulfillment Associate in the stowing department. I categorized products and placed them on shelves on robots so that they could be easily located for the packaging team before they are shipped to customers. I regularly had one of the highest rates of items stowed per minute on my floor, while still maintaining accuracy. This role provided me with hands-on experience in supply chain management, inventory, and quality control.

However, during my time with Palmetto Moon, I was able to interact with customers, unload and process shipments of merchandise, keep the store neat and tidy, assure all goods were restocked, assist managers with store merchandising (deciding the most visually appealing placement for merchandise), and foster a friendly and healthy environment between my coworkers.

In the summer of 2021, Manchester City Schools offered a month long summer school program for kids in elementary or middle school who felt like they may need a refresher of academic material before entering the next grade level, largely due to problems with distanced learning that occurred during COVID. In this position, I was a teaching aide for a Pre-K class, and helped 4-5 year olds prepare for Kindergarten. In this role I taught children not only academic things like their letters, numbers, and shapes, but also taught them how to share, play with others, and work as a team unit.
