Team Manager for Analysis and Verification within the Base Software department.

Senior Buyer for Panoramic Roofs and Cappings, business worth approximately 1.25 Billion SEK. Managing the supplier regarding all current business. Working actively with the supplier to decrease cost, improve quality on parts and all other issues regarding the business. Working with Product Development, Manufacturing and Logistics to secure the VCC needs toward the supplier and securing the future strategy.

Group Manager for approximately 20 persons, divided between two groups; Group Design Leaders (GDL) and Adaptive High Beam Control Testing group. Overall responsibility for budget and project deliveries. The group works closely with Full Service Suppliers (FSS) for our exterior lighting. Since Exterior lighting is part of the Volvo Brand Identity, the group has a high focus from management and customers. We work closely together with the Design department and the Concept group to assure that we are delivering a product that is fierce in competition, aiming to be “Best in Class”. I am responsible for the technical deliveries of the exterior lighting in my role. As a Group Manager, I believe in giving my employees the mandate and tools to make the best informed decision when it comes to their daily work. I see myself as an enabler for my employees to grow within their roles and expand their careers, by supporting them in their roles and providing them with the best possible work environment.

Personnel responsibility (~15), as well as responsible for budget, project deliveries and strategic objectives for the group. Budget for and deliveries from our back office in Bangalore, India, is also part of the group responsibility. Major focus during this time has been to achieve a stable environment where the group has been able to focus on delivering as committed during a time of company restructuring. As part of this, an outsourcing strategy was created and set in place together with a strategic external partner to handle our customer specific needs. The role is part of the Chief Engineer’s management team.

Responsible for continental teams working with verification and validation of truck hardware and software. Securing and managing group budget and forecasting, collaborating continentally to secure quality assured deliveries to truck projects. Negotiating budget with project managers. Scheduling and supplying blue collar resources for the different driving activities and tests. Focus during this time was securing a stable ramp down of resources while maintaining quality of deliveries in form of cost, feature and timing.

Responsible for securing the cross-functional technical deliveries from project start up to plant introduction. Managing project budget, co-ordination and negotiation between line organizations and suppliers. Indirectly managing the project leaders in the line organization.

Managing the cross-functional work for the cab module, securing the quality, delivery, features and cost up until plant implementation. Critical task force leader when needed. Major focus on creating cost reduction opportunities within the cab area.

Brand quality representative in start cost projects, managing all project and product quality work within certain projects. Performing truck audits in plant when necessary (as part of critical task force). Analyzing external and internal quality data to find areas in need of quality improvement.

Managing and follow up on the Project Assurance Plan, Risk Analysis and Time Plan, but also working closely with product development to secure timely drawing and part releases. Leading pre-production meetings in plant. Preparing presentation material for the Chief Project Manager and participating in decision meetings.
