As the resident Motion Designer at Spot, I designed and developed multimedia presentations combining still images, sound, text, video, and animation. Depending on the job, these were corporate, lavish, simple, hip, retro, and/or fabulous visual pieces. From broadcast TV commercials to branded web videos, each project was different and specific to the client. This type of work requires learning a wide array of programs and technologies and extensive editing capabilities. I utilized After Effects and the rest of the Adobe suite for the most part, but now and then I'd break out real paper, paint and exacto blades to achieve that perfect look. As Producer at Spot, I ran the office and all of our accounts, all while managing our talented editors and team of interns. I wrote and negotiated bid contracts and worked in tandem with our team to execute projects within budget and on time. I implemented office organization, and managed day-to-day activities within Spot from client services to event planning.

My responsibilities included day to day office management, employee hours- tracking and time management, client relations, and accounts receivable.

As Producer / Editor at Moov, I was responsible for assembling our talent pool, creating story lines and abstract art video, shooting with my DP and editing various artist's work to create an hour per month of viewable programming made up of 1-5 minute video pieces. An "MTV for visual artists." MOOV HD was an ambient HDTV channel launched by Voom HD Networks in November, 2003. It was available on the Voom DBS (direct broadcast satellite) service. Most of the Voom channels were conventional offerings, but one slot was reserved for an experimental channel called MOOV HD. The channel was produced by Concrete Pictures, a design and production house in Philadelphia founded by Jeff Boortz. The intent was to produce video art for public consumption.On January 1, 2004, the company that owned the MOOV HD channel slot launched a new channel, LAB HD. MOOV HD remained as a prominent programming strand within LAB HD, and it was joined by new programming initiatives such as Tank TV, Micro and the Robert Wilson Video Portraits.
