From 2018-2021, I was a facilitator at Opening Doors, a non for profit theatre company that works with disabled artists. Most recently, I led a project called ‘’Kisbiet Minisja’’ which focuses on the stories of older women living in Malta- a project which I hold very close to my heart. The project has now toured various elderly homes. I was also an accessibility officer for the 2021 ŻiguŻajg Festival, the national children’s festival for Malta. Furthermore, I worked as a nanny with young children and also as a theatre practitioner with Polka Theatre and SparksArt in London. During my last term of second year, my university gave me the opportunity to work in South Africa with a Deaf school. Recently, I also had the privilege of spending a term on placement with PsycheDelight and Women for Refugee Women in London and France, centring my work more around people with lived refugee experience. In various years, I have also had the opportunity to work in educational settings as a caseworker with Skolasajf and as an TEFL teacher for two years with Inlingua Malta, where I often used storytelling to engage with students from all age groups. From my experience, I can work in many different settings, be creative and provide necessary problem-solving skills. Additionally, as Environmental issues matter a lot to me, I aim to be as environmentally sustainable as possible in my practice and would love to share my knowledge.
