General human resources management with some recruiting, payroll preparation and processing, benefits management including negotiation work with brokers/carriers, 401-K program and audits, commercial insurance administration (COIs), safety program development and reports, community service programs support, government programs / compliance, and general management of departmental administrative staff.

Established and managed H.R. Department in green-field project with help of one assitant. Recruited, interviewed and hired staff of over 100 hourly and salaried employees, including engineering group and in-house customer service rep for Harley-Davidson plant in Kansas City, MO. Developed local policy, forms and guidelines based on company requirements. Position included standard HR responsibilities with strong emphasis on training. Scheduled and conducted training and obtained training grants/funding. Position also included disciplinary and performance administration, requiring strong communciation and writing skills. Managed change to Oracle HRIS, including payroll. Participated in staff meetings, including strategic planning.

Set up HR office for a new Worthington facility and served as the H.R./Benefits Rep moving into a solid Generalist role. Duties included recruiting and processing of new hires, hourly and salaried payroll, benefits enrollment and paperwork, personnel files upkeep, workers comp and unemployment administration, collection of EEO data, special events and other HR related tasks. Due to transferral of some plant production capabilities, position at times included various accounting duties including monthly balancing of inter-company accounts, along with invoicing, collections and some inventory tracking and purchasing of plant supplies.
