Dubai recently won the BIE bid to host the World Expo 2020. Prior to this win, to promote Dubai as a candidate city we chartered a Volvo Open 70 (Green Dragon). She was re-branded as True North and with her international crew visited sixteen countries over eight months to increase awareness of Dubai's bid. As Project Manager of True North I oversaw all aspects required to make this sailing campaign a success from start to finish. This includes port logistics, crew management, guest sailings, budgets, contracts, vessel shipping, media content and filming requirements.

Global activation of the DiscoverIreland.com sponsorship of Team Sanya on behalf of Tourism Ireland. Team Sanya are an entry in the Volvo Ocean Race, a round the world sailing race. The nine month race, which started in Alicante, Spain in October 2011 will visit Cape Town, Abu Dhabi, Sanya (China), Auckland, Itajaí (Brazil), Miami, Lisbon and Lorient before concluding in Galway from the 30th June - 8th July 2012.As International Sponsorship Manager, my role involved working with Tourism Ireland’s head office in Dublin and their international based teams to manage their Volvo Ocean Race sponsorship activations at race stopovers. I worked with the local teams at the different stopovers worldwide, to develop plans based on their specific objectives to leverage the Team Sanya sponsorship in a way best suited for their market and budget. Activations consisted of media and agency PR briefings, press calls, hosting receptions, guest liaison for politicians, ambassadors and other VIPs, race village and boat tours, social media updates, competitions, print material and Pro-Am racing.

As Senior Account Manager my role was in client services to bring a campaign to life from concept through to execution. It involved liaison between the client and the specialist teams within CKSK and external suppliers to ensure delivery of the campaign adhering to the brief and within budget.Main focus was on digital including websites, mobile apps, CMS, standard ads, rich ads, video content and social media management. In addition to this we looked at ways to engage with consumers in an interactive digital way at events. Many campaigns also had ATL media across a range of formats which I'd also manage. Brands I worked on; Heineken Cup, Heineken Music, Heineken Rugby World Cup and Heineken UEFA Champions League. Your Heineken, Heineken Extra Cold, Desperados, PlayStation, Vhi Healthcare, Oxegen, Irish Life and Mazda.

I was responsible for all my campaign elements including promotional staff, event set up, digital and above the line. The mix required varied by client. Responsibilities included creative brainstorms, pitch documentation, pitches, designer briefings and management (print, web and flash), copywriters, printers and programmers. For experiential events I managed the promotional staff, their briefings, uniforms, livery, set up, road show build and all other activation requirements based on client requirements. Brands I worked on; Nokia, Lynx, Sure Girl, Pot Noodle, Volvic, Evian, Volvic Touch of Fruit, Volvic Revive, Impulse, Magnum, Dove Go Fresh, Toyota, Ben and Jerry’s, Slimfast, Just, Colgate, O2, Magnum and HB.
