Review Operations Manager
Current• Manages the editorial operations of a portfolio of journals in the Health & Biomed Program - Frontiers in Immunology (the company's most prestigious and highest-grossing journal), Frontiers in Medicine, and three recently-launched journals (Frontiers in Transplantation, Frontiers in Allergy, Frontiers in Lupus);• Responsible for team member training, providing continuous support for development, and providing regular performance feedback and appraisals;• Primary escalation point for higher-level Review Operations issues encountered by their team;• Liaises with other publishing departments;• Implements action plans to agreed standards and deadlines, and drives strategic initiatives to meet Objectives and Key Results (OKRs);• Handles serious delay issues, drives and monitors the timely execution of the review process;• Analyses the review platform and provides proactive recommendations for product development;• Monitors their team’s progress towards defined targets, identifies shortcomings, proposes and implements improvements and new strategies;• Guides employee action by researching, developing, writing, and updating editorial policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines in consultation with the Senior Manager;• Reports to Head of Review Operations.
