Oversee daily operations of the STEM Center at Cañada College, lead team of six and manage $1.5 million budget. Direct grant funded project initiatives and direct outreach, marketing, evaluation and finance teams. Set strategic direction for the STEM Center.Project Management• Guide overall management of STEM Center programs for community college students and STEM faculty.• Develop timeline and process to transfer grant funded projects to college management.• Oversee and review grant funded program, projects and activities and evaluate their administration, effectiveness and efficiency. Supervision & Personnel Management• Supervise team of six on a day to day basis, provide direction and feedback to ensure effective program implementation.• Recommend hiring, training, promotions, transfers, performance improvement plans and other personnel changes as needed.Grants Administration• Ensure programs supported by federal grants meet established goals and compliance with state, federal and IRS regulations.• Oversee grant closure and ensure all final data reports are submitted to the funder and all relevant stakeholders.• Directed grant writing process from identifying needs to gathering relevant supporting data and creating a grant budget, leading to being awarded a sizeable, multi-year federal grant.
