I’m Anna McFarland, a Gainesville native who is now a student at the University of Florida. I’m studying Media Production, Management, and Technology in the Digital Film and Television Production specialization, as well as Event Management. As an avid lover of media, pop culture, niche culture, and all kinds of events that can bring people together, I am looking toward finishing my undergraduate at UF while getting real-world experience with the student organizations at the university and beyond the campus level. After graduating, I want to dive into the media and event industries, focusing on working in film and television, and concerts. I have always been a creative person; ever since I was very young, I engaged myself in creative fields, and this continues into my young adult life. With a wild imagination, I can spend so much time getting lost in my ideas and curiosities. Fiercely passionate about these interests and endeavors, I always want to see them through. Through my time at University, I have also gained real experience through the courses I have taken and getting involved with student organizations and an internship. I strive to bring my own imaginative ideas to life in the future by becoming a director for film, television, and music videos. It will be a journey and a long process, but it is one I am very enthusiastic about pursuing. My interests span quite a few areas, so I also want to get involved in events such as concerts. I aspire to help create a magical atmosphere that can help to connect people of similar interests or introduce a new love to others. As a junior, I still have so much to learn; I want to expand my network and look for internships.
