Profile bio

About Anna Huerta

I pride myself on turning fantasy into reality, finding creative solutions to the impossible, and telling stories through interactive media. I am passionate about improving and promoting human centered design practices and production processes in order to balance team health, business goals, and fun game play mechanics. As a designer I feel it is important to balance the needs of your audience with sound business practices in order to make successful products. As a conductor of my teams, it is important that leaders like me have an understanding of team dynamics, can lead the room through empathy and listening, inspire others to think outside the box within the bounds of the problem, and have a solution based approach. I've spent my career endeavoring to read people's personalities and work within their comfort zones to foster a collaborative environment, find ways to push people outside of those zones where appropriate, and I pride myself in being a cheerleader for the team. The way I approach my career is the same way I approach life - you are never going to be great at something if you don't put yourself out there and try new things... that thing you wanted to do a year ago that you were afraid of failing, you could have been an expert by now if you just showed up. Failure is essential. Getting good at something doesn't happen over night. Remember to look back at your life and the culmination of experiences that made what you are doing easy. Those experiences were not and you deserve to pat yourself on the back for getting this far.

Listed skills include Game Design, Game Development, Video Games, Social Games, and 20 others.
