As a member of the Business Management team, I primarily manage business relationships with business partners through contract management, and day-to-day operational support. I also manage large scale projects such as implementing company wide sales and forecasting tools and creating and updating partner-facing tools.

As a member of the Licensing team I primarily dealt with the licensing of LS Retail products and customer management. This entailed working closely with the sales teams and business partners from around the world in selling and delivering our solutions. I was also responsible for documenting processes and policies to be distributed to business partners.

For six weeks I worked as a member of the Marketing Team at LS Retail. The company produces point of sale and back-office solutions for all business sizes using Microsoft Dynamics software. The marketing team is tasked with promoting the company's brand and presenting the company in an aesthetic and attractive way. My tasks involved work with HTML and Microsoft NAV as well as proof-reading and editing content for the website.

The Reykjavík Grapevine prints 18 issues a year with 25,000 print edition copies as well as a wide ranging online presence. As an intern my tasks were divided between editorial duties and writing articles on politics, tourism, and upcoming events in and around Reykjavík. I was responsible for drafting, editing, and laying out, listings section of the paper, as well as compiling and maintaining a database of events and venues around town. I also handled editorial tasks such as proof-reading and article selection.

For seven weeks I was acting listings editor at the Reykjavík Grapevine. I was responsible for choosing content, acting as a member of the editorial team and managing interns. It was ultimately my responsibility to make sure the Info section of the paper was finished on time and was of sufficient quality.

2creatEffects, and its sister company Cyber-Hygiene, is a small company operating in much of Europe that markets professional development courses in both the public and private sectors. I am primarily tasked with growing the business. This involves improving the company's image through technology and marketing, finding and meeting with prospective clients, and creating a proposal based on the client's needs and constraints. I am also expected to have extensive knowledge of the two main areas the courses cover: critical data analysis and cyber security.
