In my research, writing, teaching and public speaking I engage with a variety of themes in urban planning and human geography, and my current priorities are:1. The role of knowledge in planning.2. Gender-sensitive urban planning.3. Just sustainability transitions and commoning mobility.4. The role of mobility as social infrastructure of the city.I've developed the concept "mobility as a commons", please see www.citiesandmobilities.com for more.I'm using qualitative methods, such as observation, textual analysis and interviewing. I've conducted interviews with approx. 200 stakeholders (national government and EU officials, policy-makers, entrepreneurs, activists, designers, architects, representatives of international organisations, researchers, members of public) across the world. I speak Russian, English and Dutch.
