As part of an international volunteer team of women, I design, administer, and instruct online English classes for adult learners. Most of our students reside in Turkey and speak Turkish or Persian as their first language. Many are refugees seeking to improve their English skills while waiting for employment and/or relocation.

As a language student and teacher, I love creating and leading dynamic groups of successful learners. I draw on the coaching and listening skills gained from my years of classical piano training to provide my students with the vision, motivation, and skills required for language acquisition.

• Designed and created a new learning center on campus under the direction of the university president to assist English language learners and students with learning differences and physical impairments• Coordinated with Do-IT Profiler development team in UK to adapt a neurodiversity assessment tool for early detection of challenges to academic and personal success such as ADHD, dyslexia, and autism • Guided undergraduate students referred from faculty advisement program to meet homework and assessment deadlines

I founded and directed a profitable private school in Palm Beach County, Florida. After running test groups for two years, I opened the school in Fall 2015 with 7 students in grades 6-8. Six years later, WCA has an enrollment of 90+ students in grades K-8.
