Chief Executive at Great Western Air Ambulance Charity, covering Gloucestershire, South Glos, Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, North Somerset and parts of Wiltshire. We provide lifesaving emergency care to people who are in a state so critical that they require the skills of our Critical Care Doctors and Specialist Paramedics at the scene of the accident or incident. Our helicopter and critical care cars carry drugs and equipment not found on a standard ambulance. Though we are part of the regional 999 response service and work closely with NHS hospitals, we are a charity funded by local people just like you. We need to raise over £4m every year to stay operational, so we can be there when people need us. As part of my CEO role I am also a Trustee of Air Ambulances UK, a Director of the Association of Air Ambulances and a Governor for South Western Ambulance Service Foundation Trust. I am a Trustee and volunteer for Share Bristol, Library of Things, encouraging people to borrow not buy, and to normalise reuse and sharing. This organisation helps people access things and a lifestyle they couldn't otherwise afford, reduce consumption and consumerism, and declutter our homes. I also have business interests in property and retail, and a keen personal passion for animal welfare, the environment and sustainability in general.
