Completed a 3-year EE-hydro training program where I was exposed to many aspects of electrical systems, construction QA/QC, commissioning for governors and exciters. I worked on projects such as main unit breaker replacement and transformer replacement. I designed the excitation system replacement for Barkley PH and started the spare transformer contract for McNary PH. My main interest is all-things related to magnetic fields, specifically generators and transformers. The complexity of governors is something I have spent a lot of time with as well.My preference was to be in the field, so I became the Seattle District Test Engineer, testing Chief Joseph, Libby and Albeni Falls dams. I also performed EE functions at Chief Joseph PH, writing and fulfilling the contract for GSU on-line gas monitors. As a test engineer I did annual testing at the Seattle District powerhouses and routine testing for Chief Joseph PH, the largest USACE hydropower facility.
