Managing and implementing fundamental reform programmes:-Developing a new legal framework and driving fundamental reform to increase resolution by consent, reduce impact of investigations, introduce safeguards for sick or vulnerable doctors and patients, develop the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service and support closer liaison with employers. Developing and implementing complex policies:-Analysing legislation and case law and driving reform to the GMC’s retention and publication policy. At EU level developing proposals for a legal duty to share patient safety information within the EU, successfully influencing EU regulators.Strong ambassadorial and influencing skills:-Enhancing the GMC’s key relationships through regular communication and committing to and delivering reform. Managing a range of high profile consultations with a track record of successful stakeholder engagement.Building strong co-operative teams:-Building and maintaining strong, co-operative teams with colleagues and staff. Supporting the development of leaders:-Delivering Executive Coaching to developing and established leaders across the business.Complex problem solving:-Commissioning and analysing research and data to improve understanding of the causes of key trends in the fitness to practise procedures. Significant experience of managing legislative change to both primary and secondary legislation.
