Following the announcement of Ashridge Business School's strategic alliance with Hult International Business School, I was asked to co-lead the team working on the merger. The primary purpose of the role was to facilitate the delivery of the planned benefits of the merger and to promote dialogue and collaboration between colleagues in Ashridge and Hult. The new joint entity would bring together Ashridge’s expertise in executive and organisation development and research with Hult’s global reach and scale in degree programmes, thus seeking to provide full service business education for global organisations.

Delivered a range of strategic projects for the school's leadership team, using both my hands-on management experience and my recently acquired Executive MBA discipline. These projects included:- a major strategy review for the school- supporting the due diligence process preceding and during the merger with Hult - review of organisation structure required for the new international business development strategy- developed tools to improve business performance forecasting

Led the team responsible for optimising Ashridge Business School's residential and teaching facilities, as a key, constrained resource.- consolidated the existing operations and conferences into a cohesive new team, effective at exploiting business opportunities and spotting gaps to optimise revenue- built effective relationships with business school stakeholders through client-focused and consultative approach with senior management and client and programme directors- responsible for expanding revenue generation from use of the facilities, exploring new opportunities and growing existing conference and events business- responsible for pricing and contractual terms for accommodation and events- developed and managed a centralised hotel and conference booking service to optimise on-site occupancy and achieve cost efficiency- negotiated and managed flexible contracts and prices for external facilities with hotels and conference centres*Ashridge's campus is a beautiful neo-gothic Grade 1 listed heritage property with 190 bedrooms, 20 main teaching rooms, 55 breakout rooms, 5 function rooms, as well as 200 acres of listed parkland and gardens.
