I served as the Government Sales & Commercial Business Development Manager for Birdy Boutique since November 2020. I have extensive background in leading teams in business development and sales efforts for B2B. I supported Birdy Boutique’s Learning Blanket launch to Walgreens, Meijer, and Harris Teeter in 2022 and 2023! Along with a new partnership with pOpshelf, Division of Dollar General in 2023. I am also a former Contracting Officer for the United Stares Air Force in Germany and Contract Specialist for the Department of Defense (DoD) United States Army from 2006-2016. I love being able to blend my federal contracting background to ensure Birdy Boutique's success in winning both commercial contracts and goverment. I enjoy sharing our company values and brand story with retailers and corporations interested in textiles made with a purpose-by us! I go above and beyond to ensure our brand is represented in the industry as a well established wholesale and private label small textile manufacturer. In 2021, I graduated from a 12-week training cohort sponsored by Walgreens, called, "Top Shelf Retail Pitch Cohort" where I gained leadership and retail skills, along with getting the opportunity to pitch to Walgreens! This year, in 2022, I am honored to come back as a panelist for this year's graduating cohort, to answer questions about the industry in a Q&A.Originally my Mom is from Poland, and I was raised in a very polish immigrant community in Hamtramck, Michigan. I speak, read and write polish, as I was raised in a bi-lingual household. I have served as a scout leader for the Polish Scouting Organization for decades, and was able to collaborate with the organization in 2021 when Birdy Boutique donated learning blankets for a fundraiser that we designed together!I focus my efforts on managing our wholesale customers and platforms, sales pitches, marketing/social media input, concept design input on our various product lines, and company expansion and corporate introductions. In addition to being passionate about working for Birdy Boutique, I am active in my local polish community as a volunteer and also enjoy hot yoga, vegan recipes, beach life in Florida, and spending time with my family and loving fiancée.
