I am an International Tax Partner in KPMG Ireland. Since May 2024, I have also taken over as KPMG's EMA TMT (Technology, Media and Telecoms) Sector Leader. I am also a member of KPMG's Global TMT Board.I have over 15 years’ experience at partner level advising global companies on tax matters, including M&A, financing, group structuring, R&D, IP and international tax matters. My clients include companies in the technology, media, telecommunications, fintech, pharmaceutical and life-sciences sectors.I am passionate about innovation and scaling ambitious start-ups, and advise a number of early stage companies on fundraising, shareholding arrangements, rewarding founders, incentivising employees and growing global operations.I am a member of the Steering Group of Scale Ireland, an independent, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting, representing and advocating for Irish tech start-up and scale-up companies. I am also a former (and founding) director of the Fintech and Payments Association of Ireland (www.FPAI.ie), a former Director and Member of the Board of the American Chamber of Commerce Ireland (www.amcham.ie) where I chaired the American Chambers Tax Working Group. I am also a former member of an Irish Government let Innovation Taskforce, where I chaired the work group focused on Intellectual Property, Incentives and Venture Capital. I lead KPMG's Global Tech Innovator Competition in Ireland (now in its 4th year) and KPMG's partnership with Endeavor, the community for high impact entrepreneurs.I regularly chair and speak at external and KPMG events principally on International Investment, Tax and Fintech matters. I also regularly MC events and conferences. I contribute to KPMG's quarterly Venture Pulse Report which reports on global Venture Capital investment and KPMG's bi-annual Pulse of Fintech Report, which tracks M&A and investment in Fintech companies across the globe. I am a huge believer in the value of education and love to spend time in my old Alma mater, UCD, meeting with students and getting the opportunity to guest lecture in the Quinn and Smurfit schools of business. I have been recognised by Lattice80 as one of the Top 100 Women in Fintech (globally), by Image Magazine as one of Ireland’s top Digital Woman, by Silicon Republic in the Women Invent Tomorrow programme as one of the 100 Top Women in STEM, and by Business and Finance magazine as one of the Tech 100.
