STRIDES AI is a new, AI-powered platform that closes the diverse leadership network gap, by making it easy and seamless for board leaders and executives from underrepresented groups to connect and build social capital. As the Marketing and Community Development Intern at STRIDES AI, I acquired skills in:-Marketing. I worked on and created Facebook and LinkedIn Ad Campaigns to promote BoardSeatMeet's rebrand into STRIDES AI as well as STRIDES AI's commercial launch. During this process I acquired skills in utilizing Facebook Ads Manager and LinkedIn Ads Manager. -Social media content and strategy: I created social media content on LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook around topics of diversity, equity and inclusion in leadership. I created both content and graphics of social media posts for BoardSeatMeet and STRIDES AI. During this process I acquired skills in the use of Canva, Airtable and eClincher. -Community outreach: I reached out to influential leaders in the diversity, equity and inclusion space, senior executives of organizations that could support the mission of STRIDES AI, and potential champions of diversity at STRIDES AI.-Website editing, blog posting and software: I worked on STRIDES AI's blogs and edited as well as uploaded blogs and website content. During this process, I got familiar with SEO, Wordpress and GoDaddy.-Research: As I did outreach, worked on blog posts, advertisement and social media content, I continuously conducted research on diversity, equity and inclusion in senior leadership, social capital and professional mentorship and sponsorship.

Women In Leadership Development (WILD) is a club that empowers women of all backgrounds. Our work aims to help womxn fight oppression, stigmas, and constraints that stop them from achieving their full potential, and to empower womxn to be impactful, conscious and innovative leaders. Our events include goal-setting and salary negotiation workshops, female guest speakers from successful businesses that discuss how to breaking the class ceiling as well as events based around the representation of women in the media, self-love and community engagement.

I am conducting research on e-mentoring, community engagement and well-being under the guidance of Menlo College's psychology faculty director Dr. Mark Hager to improve the mentoring experience at Menlo College.

The independent research I conducted under the guidance of Menlo College's Provost Grande Lum on conflict resolution, racist action and happiness informs the application oriented research I am currently conducting. With the support of Provost Grande Lum and Menlo College's Dean of Student Affairs Dr. La'Tonya Rease Miles, I am doing research on positive psychology interventions against racism in educational institutions. The goal of this research project is to develop an intervention specifically targeting anti-racism at Menlo College.
