My passion for Event planning brought me to Humber College, where I am completing Hospitality and Event Management program. I have acquired Smart Serve certificate, CANNSELL certificate and Food Safety Training. The most valuable lesson I have learned from Humber has been the importance of having clear and specific goals and event objectives. Even though I have done freelance event planning, I have enjoyed learning the basics of event management and the process from beginning to end. My classes in Marketing and Special Events, Food and Beverage Operations, and Business Communications has provided me with great insights for a future career in Event Management. This year I have mastered Budgeting, Event Design, and Service Excellence. I continue to build skills in Event Execution. Next semester, I hope to complete an internship that will provide real-life experience and important interpersonal skills.
