This course provides an understanding of how technology can improve the efficiency and functionality of meeting and event professionals. Participants are introduced to the latest technologies and software, relevant to meeting and event planning and learn how to apply these technologies in real world event planning scenarios. The course highlights technology implementation from small scale meeting organization through large scale conferences and super events.

Responsible for the implementation and coordination of multiple yearly conferences and board meetings as well as all marketing components for each conference.Responsibilities include -* Event development from pre to post production of 10+ meetings yearly, hosting anywhere from 50-2000 attendees* Manage all logistics leading up to events*On-site manager*Collaborate with venues, transportation companies, and other vendors*Generate RFPs and negotiate pricing with vendors*Coordinate staff and attendee housing*Devised and implemented a marketing plan to boost pre-registration for events *Market 20+ conferences and meetings via multiple forms of marketing (email, listservs, Facebook, Twitter, magazine articles)

Responsible for the creation and implementation of marketing strategies across a variety of social media platforms as well tradition marketing channels.Responsibilities include -* Maintaining social media sites (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Youtube, etc.)* Creating content for social media sites (videos, blog entries, articles, photo albums, etc)* Creation and implementation of social media campaigns, contests, and promotion of customer interaction* Creation of holiday/sale campaign themes and advertisement of said salesOther goals completed in position include -* Increasing social media traffic on company site by 50%* Organization/planning of trade shows * Organization and implementation of a photo shoot from conception to post-production* Collaboration with Creative Director on designs for future lines* Creation/organization of hard-copy promotional materials - look book, educational pamphlets
