In my role as Clinical Research Project Coordinator, I completed regulatory and administrative activities (activation, maintenance, and closure processes) for our clinical trials based out of Wm. S. Middleton VA Hospital. I ensured milestones were met and protocols were followed by site clinical research coordinators and investigators, as well as prepared for site monitoring visits. In my role as research project coordinator, I oversaw recruitment and participant retention for three multi-site clinical research studies involving over 200 patients with peripheral artery disease. I developed study documents including protocols, informed consents, and training manuals.I prepared IRB submissions and responded to questions and requests from the IRB, maintained relationships with DSMB members, funding agencies, and study sites across the United States.Additionally, I ensured our trials operated in accordance with current laws, the NU Institutional Review Board (IRB), Food & Drug Administration (FDA) Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Good Clinical Practices (GCP), and the International Conference on Harmonization (ICH).

In my role as research study coordinator, I collected data on functional performance and patient health for randomized clinical trials. I also trained incoming coordinators on recruitment and data collection methods.

As a CWC with Purdue Extension, my goal was to make the healthy choice the easy choice for county residents. I developed partnerships with community leaders and organizations to encouraged changes in policies, systems, and environments.My achievements in this role include:-Developing the first International Walk to School Day celebration in Rush County.-Presenting information on PSE work to local organizations

As a Research Assistant, I transcribed 15-45 minute video game audio from a study on how teams work together to problem solve in a digital space. I also co-managed the collection of computer- based survey data with fellow research assistants. This included obtaining consent, setting up computers for data collection, and assisting participants with technical issues during the survey.

Public speaking is one of they most challenging and frightening experiences for many individuals. As a Teaching Assistant, I helped my students to conquer their fear of speaking in front of large audiences while acquiring skills necessary for their future careers. My teaching focused on crafting strong, persuasive messaging while appearing confident and speaking clearly.Some of my most notable accomplishments include:-Developing the first public speaking course on campus centered around conservation and sustainability-Four out of four semesters in the role, my students evaluated me as a "Teacher Ranked as Excellent". Three of the four semesters I was designated in the top 10% of TAs on campus

As a Health Educator, I directed weekly lessons on nutrition, physical activity, sleep, goal setting, stress management, and motivation to small, but diverse groups of women between the ages of 18 and 45.

My experience with the Ad Council offered me real world experience in a fast paced, agency style setting.Between client meetings and conferences, I:- Developed three landscapes on current national and world issues that would inform Ad Council Senior VPs on topics for future campaigns- Constructed a creative audit and supplementary survey for a client to help them determine a new direction for their future campaigns - Designed and presented a comprehensive behavior change campaign promoting sunscreen use to high school males

Working as a Research Assistant, I spent much of my time working on various project for a study on social capital. Some of my achievements include:-Developing detailed instructions for other assistants for conducting literature searches in various academic databases-Conducting a literature search on social capital, coding 147 journal articles for the study, and conducting a citation analysis on the articles.

During my first Research Assistant position, I worked on a research program on risky behavior in middle and high school students. My accomplishments include: -Transcribing and coding 20 one hour long semi-structured interviews from high school students regarding substance use.-Collecting survey data from over 200 middle school students about their perceptions of substance use. -Entering survey data into SPSS and providing accuracy checks of my work.
