As DroneUp's first BI Analyst I will be playing a key role on the newly formed Data Science team in the Information Technology department. I will be laying out, both at the strategic and tactical levels, the current and future of the DroneUp's data analytic road-mapping as well as helping to establish and follow the Data Science team's best practices. - Lead the analysis of the business information & data that is/will be gathered in existing and/or new Enterprise Applications (SaaS, PaaS) or the DroneUp platforms- Leverage in both data and industry subject matter expertise and look at what data the company collects, analyze it, and then use it to provide critical insights to support better business decisions using COTS tools (Power BI, Tableau)- Enable and develop business performance intelligence (internal focus) & competitive intelligence (external focus)- Write data collection and processing procedures- Ensure that data is being correctly gathered, stored, and analyzed- Write and debug complex SQL queries- Report data findings to leadership- Continually monitor data collection- Develop methodologies to improve data analysis
