As a staff software engineer on the frontend services team, I work closely with UX and Product to create experiences consumed by the application teams while focusing on customer usability, consistency across apps, improving the developer experience, and web accessibility. This includes working independently or with a teammate to create universal, domain specific components using module federation and contributing to and maintaining our internal component library using React and Typescript along with Jest and Playwright for testing. As part of the tech leadership team I help to establish best practices and standards, mentor, perform cross-team code reviews, and work on proof of concept spikes to help inform decisions. I am often pulled into cross team meetings and discussions to provide guidance on technical feasibility and helping to weigh in on level of effort, consideration of customer value, and providing alternative options. I am involved in our accessibility team, working to improve a11y process and standards, including taking part in accessibility audits, testing, and creation of VPATs. I also take part in the final interview process and onboarding of new developers.

As a frontend lead developer, I am a primary technical point of contact for other departments and facilitate cross-team discussions to help define frontend visual and accessibility standards. I work closely with UX, full stack, product and other team leads to help create consistent, well-structured components that meet engineering standards with an eye on long-term product health.
