I am between jobs so I have decided to spend even more of my time focused on doing the Lord’s work. I am investing time in helping those in need. I primarily focus on teaching both children and adults. I currently work with three to four groups/ week. These include: immigrants, children without resources, adult learners, and children living abroad.

Being an ALT is more than just bringing English into the classroom. It’s bringing the outside world into Japan and it’s bringing Japan to the outside world. I like to be involved in community events, volunteering (both on a regular scheduled basis and also during events or disasters),and cultural activities (currently, I practice kendo with a local club)..

At the University of Evansville, I work diligently to maintain my GPA and participate in the Honors College. I also get involved in campus organizations such as the Student Christian Fellowship, the Black Student Union, and Model United Nations. In my spare time I tutor and volunteer with Impact Ministries and the Upwards program.

During my time as a student intern with the MEDC, I researched opportunities and strategies to expand and improve Michigan’s economy, assisted in developing a strategic economic development plan for Michigan and Canada, and did whatever other tasks were asked of me including taking minutes, paperwork, answering the phone.
